Job summary

wabashcareers is seeking a Production Floor Trainer to onboard, train, and develop production team members on the shop floor, ensuring understanding of standard work, safety expectations, quality requirements, and proper production processes.

This role collaborates with production leadership, coordinators, and cross-functional teams, while supporting daily production needs and maintaining training records for continuous improvement in the factory setting.

Qualifications

• Train new and existing production employees on assigned processes, work instructions, safety procedures, quality standards, and daily expectations.
• Provide hands-on coaching and guidance to help employees build skill, confidence, and consistency in their work.
• Support the completion and maintenance of training records, skills matrices, and competency documentation.
• Reinforce safe work practices, proper use of tools and equipment, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Partner with coordinators, supervisors, quality, safety, and engineering teams to identify training needs and close skill gaps.
• Observe production work and provide constructive feedback to employees in a professional and respectful manner.
• Help standardize training methods across assigned areas to improve onboarding effectiveness and reduce variation.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying training barriers, process concerns, and opportunities to improve employee performance.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive shop floor culture.
• Other duties as assigned
