Job summary

GE Vernova in Findlay Township, PA seeks a Manufacturing Specialist - Production Supervision to lead shop floor operations, meet safety, quality and delivery targets, and drive continuous improvement with cross-functional teams.

You will supervise manpower, materials, and equipment, mentor frontline staff, ensure adherence to work instructions, and monitor KPIs such as output, downtime, and waste in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Education/experience requirements: bachelor's degree with 5+ years relevant experience, or HS diploma with 7+ years in manufacturing/production management.
• SAP experience required in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including mechanical and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of quality, safety, and continuous improvement principles (Lean/Six Sigma).

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily shop floor activities to meet production schedules, output targets, and customer delivery requirements.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment to support efficient workflow and minimize downtime.
• Monitor operations and adjust assignments to maintain productivity and continuity.
• Ensure products are manufactured per quality standards and work instructions.
• Provide frontline leadership and guidance to shop floor employees, fostering safety, quality, and teamwork.
• Support onboarding and development of production staff.
• Ensure adherence to policies, EHS procedures, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with Quality to ensure specifications and investigate deviations.
• Drive continuous improvement to boost productivity and reduce waste.
• Monitor KPIs such as output, scrap, downtime, and labor efficiency.
