Job summary
GE Vernova is seeking a Team Lead for Incoming Materials Quality Inspection to oversee daily inspection operations ensuring raw materials and components meet quality specifications before entering production. You will bridge quality with purchasing, manufacturing, and shift supervisors across two locations, driving smart, compliant practices.
The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing with supervisory experience, strong skills in GD&T, SAP/Oracle, and Lean/Six Sigma.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma with technical schooling preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years in manufacturing with 1+ year in supervision.
- Read/interpret complex drawings and GD&T.
- ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and digital QMS knowledge.
- Lean/Six Sigma concepts applied in manufacturing.
- RCA or CAPA analysis experience.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift 35 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop quality inspectors, manage staffing and workflow.
- Coordinate with purchasing/logistics on quarantined materials and returns.
- Ensure inspection records are compliant with ISO 9001/AS9100 and QMS.
- Drive process improvements to increase throughput and accuracy.
- Monitor KPIs and maintain cross-shift/locations communication.
- Escalate production issues and coordinate corrective actions.
