Job summary

AMC seeks a quality leader in Camarillo to own the daily Quality function, coach Inspectors, and drive improvements across buildings. You’ll guide frontline staff, develop inspection strategies, and sustain ISO 9001/AS9100 programs while mentoring teams in a precision manufacturing environment.

You will translate complex prints into robust GD&T-based plans, perform precise measurements, and contribute to hiring and performance reviews. Expect a collaborative, accountable culture.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in quality inspection or supervision, or 10+ years machining with inspection experience.
• Advanced blueprint literacy and technical drawing interpretation.
• GD&T expertise with robust metrology tooling experience.
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, and surface plates.
• Working knowledge of QMS incl. ISO 9001 and AS9100.
• Clear communicator and effective mentor across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the daily operation of the Quality function; guide two Inspectors today with a trajectory to four.
• Split your impact: ~20% inspecting parts, ~50% coaching, ~30% documentation and admin.
• Execute dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, and surface plates.
• Translate prints and specs into clear inspection strategies using GD&T.
• Lead corrective actions, write/process NMRs, and sustain ISO 9001/AS9100 procedures.
• Contribute to hiring, performance reviews, and team development initiatives.
