Job summary

Hyperion Materials & Technologies Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Leader to drive the deployment of the Production Units' CI and Operational Excellence strategy on the shop floor.

You will supervise local CI teams, implement CIS programs, and lead Lean projects through Kaizen events while aligning with global best practices. Ideal candidates hold a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, 5+ years in CI/Lean roles, and a track record leading Value Stream Maps and Kaizen funnels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, SCM or related field.
• Master’s degree in Lean Manufacturing or Management Engineering (or equivalent).
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in Continuous Improvement or Lean.
• Experience leading Kaizen and Value Stream Map projects.
• Knowledge of Daily Management processes.
• Experience facilitating Kaizen events and workshops.
• Expertise in Lean methods: 5S, SMED, TPM, 3P, Kanban, standard work.
• Experience with Hoshin Kanri X-Matrix deployment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the local CI teams and drives lean projects on the shop floor.
• Responsible for the Continuous Improvement Savings (CIS) programs for the Production Units.
• Lead Lean Projects such as Value Stream Map Projects and execute Lean Roadmap (Action Plan).
• Implement PU Continuous Improvement Strategies.
• Responsible for the Kaizen Process and Kaizen Funnel of the Production Units.
• Facilitate Kaizen Events using Lean Tools such as Standard Work, SMED or 6S.
• Train and develop people on facilitating Kaizen Events.
• Lead Daily Management Process as a Continuous Improvement Process.
• Lead Problem Solving using tools like A3, 5Whys, Ishikawa Diagram or Noise to Constant.
• Support Site Managers in developing the PU strategy and KPIs.
• Generate and understand data to support Operational KPI’s.
• Develop educational material and provide training on Lean and CI.
• Lead process improvement activities on the manufacturing floor (Go to Gemba!).
• Use Lean concepts and tools in work functions.
• Link with Global Operational Excellence to deploy initiatives.
• Act as a Change Agent and identify potential Lean Leaders.
