Job summary

Lincoln Electric is hiring a Desktop Engineer to design, support, and improve end-user computing for both office and shop floor environments. You will handle Windows OS, endpoints, imaging, patching, and software deployment while ensuring manufacturing processes stay online and secure.

The role requires collaboration with Site Support, Manufacturing Operations, Infrastructure, Security, and applications teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years in desktop engineering or related IT role.
• Strong experience with Windows desktop OS and endpoint deployment.
• Experience with manufacturing or shop floor technology preferred.
• Knowledge of endpoint management tools and security practices.
• Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM processes and incident handling.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, deploy, maintain, and support desktop and shop floor computing environments.
• Provide advanced technical support for Windows OS, imaging, patching, and software deployment.
• Support manufacturing infrastructure devices and peripherals on the shop floor.
• Plan and execute OS upgrades, hardware refreshes, and migrations.
• Develop and enforce endpoint standards and security baselines.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.
