Job summary

TEL Staffing seeks a Safety Foreman (Shipyard Safety Coordinator) in Pensacola, FL to implement and oversee health, safety, and environmental programs across the shipyard. You will ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1915 and USCG regulations, act as on-site safety leader, and coordinate with leadership to maintain shipyard readiness and safe working conditions.

The role requires 3–5 years’ shipyard or maritime safety experience, Competent Person in confined spaces, CPR/First Aid, and respirator

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of shipyard, industrial, or maritime safety experience.
• Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1915 and 29 CFR 1910.
• Confined Space Competent Person certification required.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Respirator Fit Test certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety policies, inspections, and compliance with OSHA and maritime standards.
• Act as on-site safety leader, manage permits (hot work, confined space, energy control).
• Conduct safety training, PPE use instruction, and hazard communication.
• Maintain safety records, inspections logs, and incident investigations.
• Coordinate with leadership to maintain shipyard readiness and regulatory adherence.
