Job summary

US Coatings is seeking a Shipyard Assistant to provide administrative, logistical, and operational support for marine coatings projects. You will assist project managers, manage timesheets, onboarding, and records, and help coordinate shipments, inventory, and field activities across shipyards and facilities.

The role requires a high school diploma, local Charleston area residency, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Local to the Charleston area and valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams) and detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently or in a team in shipyard environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative, logistical, and operational support to project management and field teams.
• Assist with timekeeping, onboarding, and personnel records.
• Coordinate records, reports, and project documentation across multiple sites.
• Support shipping/receiving, inventory, and warehousing tasks as needed.
• Assist mobilization/demobilization and operate material handling equipment when certified.
