Job summary

IMIA, LLC is seeking a Shipyard Production Worker to perform surface prep, coating removal, and coating application on U.S. Navy ships and submarines. You will use hand and power tools, maintain clean work areas, and support hot work activities under safety protocols.

The role requires ability to handle materials, operate equipment, and assist in setting up and breaking down work sites in a shipyard environment. OSHA-10 and forklift certs are preferred or provided by the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• OSHA-10 certification preferred or provided by company.
• Forklift certification preferred or provided by company.
• Firewatch certification required or obtainable through training.
• Maritime/industrial/labor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare job work sites and coordinate with team to meet daily goals.
• Assist painters, blasters, and line-pulling as needed.
• Clean tanks and spaces using prescribed methods and equipment.
• Operate pneumatic, electric, and hand tools.
• Prepare surfaces and mix/paint as directed.
• Move materials and equipment and maintain clean work areas.
• Monitor hot work and enforce safety permits; act as Fire Watch.
