National Steel and Shipbuilding Com is hiring a painter to prepare and paint ship parts and shipyard structures, both interior and exterior. You will mix paints per Product Data Sheet, mask areas, apply coatings, inspect workmanship and perform touch-ups as needed.

The position requires 1–3 years of hand brush and spray painting experience or SSPC C-12 certification, knowledge of surface preparation, proper use and mixing of paints, ability to read the Product Data Sheet, and to operate high

Competenze

• Knowledge of surface preparation procedures and use/mixing of paints.
• Ability to read and understand the Product Data Sheet; identify coating requirements.

Mansioni

• Set up tools and equipment at job site for surface preparation.
• Prepare surface to be painted and apply coatings.
• Mix paints per PDS and apply coating; inspect and touch-up as needed.
• Maintain housekeeping in work areas and operate high reach equipment.
• Perform cross-trade tasks related to painting and safety requirements.
