Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of hot work processes per Navsea standards.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in ship repair with hot work permits.
• Ability to navigate shipboard layouts and compartments.
• Ability to review permits for accuracy and safety.
• Understands IPS production schedules and de-confliction.
• Proficient with CFR reporting and logs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate hot work notification and execution for contractor work.
• Receive, manage, and process hot work permits with ships force.
• Maintain required daily logs of hot work onboard.
• Attend daily meetings with project team, contractors, ships force, and customer.
• Prioritize hot work per IPS and de-conflict production areas.
• Generate CFR reports and two-week forecast for hot work.
• Review permits with Hot Work Supervisor and Ships Management.
• Ensure safety compliance and PPE usage on site.
