Job description

Overview

BigBear.ai is seeking a Shipyard AI Business Analyst is actively seeking to add a talented Business Analyst to join our Shipyard AI Capacity Planning team. Come join an exciting team that is helping the growing Shipbuilding industry improve operations through the deployment of our technologies.

This position will involve remote work in a collaborative team environment to support deploying our proprietary software to shipbuilders worldwide.


What you will do

  • Lead onsite data collection and Shipyard AI implementation efforts
  • Maintain relationships with key shipyard personnel
  • Support development of requirements documentation and related specifications, documentation, and business cases
  • Assist in solutions design and deployment requirements for proposals and follow-on work
  • Attain basic knowledge of BigBear’s services and software portfolio to assist in growth opportunities in the Shipyards
  • Assisting in sales demos and customer presentations
  • Provide feedback for product development
  • Troubleshoot customer issues (as needed)
  • Provide customer training on deployments
  • Travel will be required as needed to support deployments of our solutions

What you need to have

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial engineering or similar
  • In lieu of degree, 10+ years of relevant experience in shipbuilding with a focus on capacity planning and scheduling
  • Passionate about providing high quality, impactful solutions to real business opportunities and challenges
  • Experience with project planning or engineering, ideally in a U.S. Navy, ship building, or other manufacturing environment

What we'd like you to have

  • Experience in large-scale system implementation efforts following a standard software development lifecycle approach (scrum desired)
  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development and data modeling
  • Knowledge of industry standard development methodologies and technologies
