West-Fraser is seeking a Shipping Technician to support the Shipping department and production teams with a strong emphasis on safety, quality and efficiency. The role involves operating forklifts, managing inbound documents, and ensuring accurate loading records.

Qualifications include a US work authorization, a high school diploma or GED, and at least 1 year of experience loading trucks or railcars. Warehouse experience is helpful and independent work is valued.

• Eligible to work in the United States.

• Experience working a warehouse environment is helpful.
• Ability to maintain all equipment in assigned areas.

Reporting to theShipping Supervisor, the Shipping Technician is responsible for performing assigned tasks in the Shipping department. This position supports production process improvements and the production teams with a strong emphasis on safety, quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: (main functions)

• Safe operation of Fork Trucks.
• Extensive knowledge of mill travel routes for shipping and production.
• Housekeeping in the shipping end.
• Communicate shipping issues to Shipping Supervisor.
• Initial inbound sheets and bill of ladings of accurate number of units loaded and recordkeeping.
