Job summary

S&S Activewear is seeking a Team Lead to support the Shipping manager and directly interact with the shipping team in our Distribution Center in Lockport, IL. You will ensure procedures are followed, communicate goals, and provide ongoing guidance to staff.

Responsibilities include monitoring orders and equipment operation, training new hires, and maintaining a safe, organized distribution center. This role offers a weekend schedule with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read and speak English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment.
• Flexibility to work overtime and varied shifts.
• Must be 18+ and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Support Shipping manager and interact with the shipping team to meet KPIs.
• Monitor orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping to standards.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and cherry pickers.
• Report discrepancies, damaged items, shortages or unidentified packages.
• Assist in training and onboarding of new staff.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the Distribution Center.
• Follow SOPs and safety regulations; cross-train as needed.
