Job summary

Farmer Focus in Harrisonburg, VA, is seeking a Shipping Supervisor for the Acorn facility. This on-site role oversees 10–15 hourly staff, coordinating with production, QA, and Sales to plan shipping and truck loading, while ensuring accurate billing and inventory control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 4+ years in a production environment; and at least 2 years of leadership overseeing 6+ people.
• Preferred: Associate degree; 3+ years in food manufacturing; 3+ years in supervisory roles.
• Technical: poultry processing knowledge; HACCP/SSOPs/GMPs; OSHA; MS Office; strong English communication

Responsibilities

• Schedule shipping and truck loading with departments and Sales; prepare billing and inventory records.
• Lead 10–15 hourly shipping staff; ensure safety and productivity.
• Maintain HACCP/SSOPs/GMPs and audits; enforce Farmer Focus policies.
• Drive cost efficiency and throughput through continuous improvement and strong leadership
