Job summary

Global Channel Managementinc is seeking a Shipping Supervisor in Riverside, CA with at least 1 year of plant-level shipping supervision and a minimum of 6 years experience or equivalent education. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or Supply Chain.
• 1 year of plant-level Shipping Supervision experience and 6 years minimum experience, or equivalent education/experience.
• Bilingual English and Spanish communication (verbal, written).
• Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet proficiency.
• Knowledge of HVAC design principles is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work 1st shift.

Responsibilities

• Determine legal load limits of trucks per schedules, DOT regulations, and weight limits.
• Train team on identifying information, counts, weights for shipments against tickets and system.
• Ensure packaging procedures and documentation for shipments are complete and correct.
• Inspect outgoing shipments to meet specifications and coordinate carrier pickups.
• Maintain attention to detail to ensure shipments meet schedules and specs.
• Operate forklift and hand truck to move shipments within facility.
