Job summary

Carpenter Co. in Conover, NC, is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift to oversee all shipping operations. You will coordinate with production, customer service, and transportation providers to ensure orders are processed safely, accurately, and on time.

The role requires 3-5 years in shipping, 1-3 years in supervision, and strong computer skills. SAP knowledge is preferred, and flexibility for extended hours is expected.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in a shipping environment.
• 1-3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing shipping environment.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP (preferred).
• Flexibility to work off hours and extended hours as production warrants.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all second shift shipping activities.
• Lead, coach, and develop shipping team members to achieve performance and productivity goals.
• Ensure customer orders are picked, staged, loaded, and shipped accurately and on schedule.
• Monitor staffing levels and assign work to meet operational requirements.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation and transaction processing.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, quality standards, and company procedures.

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Production Supervisor- 2nd Shift, at our Conover, NC manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for the supervision overseeing all second -shift shipping operations to ensure customer orders are processed accurately, safely, and on time. The Shipping Supervisor works closely with production, customer service, and transportation providers to support efficient operations and customers are satisfied. The successful candidate will be expected to directly supervise the functions of hourly shipping personnel and communicate daily with management regarding workloads, schedules, and safety standards.
