Job summary

PTC in Minneapolis seeks a Shipping/Stock Clerk to support a safe, efficient material flow. You will stack, load, and count bundles, operate cranes, and locate stock to minimize downtime on the floor.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, be able to read and write basic instructions, and be willing to learn ERP/Excel basics. On-site role with varying shifts and a focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Must write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Able to operate in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conscientiously run a safer and cleaner operation.
• Ensure all guards are in place.
• Inform supervisors of maintenance problems or changes to equipment.
• Operate the pendant control crane.
• Stack material on the floor and load bundles with accurate tag counts.
• Locate stock by tube size and gauge to minimize downtime.
• Follow safety procedures when strapping and moving materials.
• Check slings for damage and dispose of defective slings.
• Cross-train in crane duties if required.
• Carry out other duties as directed by the supervisor.
