PTC in Minneapolis seeks a Shipping/Stock Clerk to support a safe, efficient material flow. You will stack, load, and count bundles, operate cranes, and locate stock to minimize downtime on the floor.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, be able to read and write basic instructions, and be willing to learn ERP/Excel basics. On-site role with varying shifts and a focus on safety and accuracy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conscientiously work toward running a safer and cleaner operation.
• Ensure that all guards are always in place.
• Inform the supervisors of any maintenance problems or suggested changes to equipment.
• Must be able to operate the pendant control crane.
• Is responsible for proper stacking of material on the floor, truck loading and checking bundle tags to verify count for loading form (using loading instructions and tally information).
• Locates stock for job by tube size and gauge for movement and facilitates the proper flow of material to minimize down time on operations.
• Works carefully, observing all safety procedures in strapping and moving bungles and is constantly aware of floor conditions when working in stock areas and around machinery.
• Checks slings for damage and wear before strapping loads. All defective slings are to be cut and disposed of immediately.
• Directs any questions regarding stock location of operation to the shift supervisor as soon as possible.
• If you accept a strapper position in the Shipping Department, you must be willing to cross-train in the crane and be willing to assume the responsibilities, as necessary.
• Assumes various other duties at the direction of the shift supervisor.
