Job summary

TechniPower, Inc. is looking for a Shipping Stockroom Clerk in the Addison, IL area to support an electronics manufacturing client. You will maintain the stock room for shipping, prepare receiving tickets, and help ensure inventory accuracy.

The role is on-site and requires union involvement; hours are 6:30 am to 3:00 pm with OT. Pay ranges from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of stockroom experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Must pass a basic math test.
• Ability to measure lengths and diameters with common measuring tools.
• Scan into a computer and prepare receiving tickets.
• Experience transporting materials to production and storage areas.
• Experience with inventory counts, packing lists, POs, and reporting issues.
• Fill material requisitions by type, quantity and size.
• Measure and cut materials to specified lengths.
• Use hand tools for various cutting tasks.
• Experience prepping shipping crates and handling paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize the stock room for shipping needs.
• Verify incoming materials and prepare receiving tickets.

• Assist in issuing materials to production and shipping areas.

In this role you will be working as a Shipping Stockroom Clerk for a client that is in the electronics manufacturing industry. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining the stock room for shipping purposes.

This is a direct hire role that must be performed on-site.

Must be willing to join the union. Hours are 6:30 am to 3:00 pm with OT.

Pay is $20.00 to $25.00 an hour.

Job Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in a stockroom in a manufacturing environment
• Must be able to pass a basic math test
• Ability to measure lengths and diameters using a ruler, tape measure, and micrometers
• Ability to scan into a computer and prepare receiving tickets to maintain other records and reports
• Experience transporting materials to and from production and storage areas
• Experience with inventory counts to determine packing list and POs, and errors, shortages, report improper shipment and damaged materials
• Ability to fill material requisitions as to type, quantity, and size of material and deliver to desired locations
• Ability to measure and cut materials to specific lengths
• Ability to use hand tools: power hacksaw, wire de-reeler, wood saw, circular saw, power stapler
• Experience prepping shipping crates
• Excellent background with computers and paperwork
• Experience with paperwork like bills of lading and labels
• Receive all incoming material, verify quantity, write receiving ticket, deliver received material to the proper departments and maintain PO records
