Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. seeks a Shipping Shipper to safely load products per Valmont procedures and work instructions. You will identify, stage and load materials, using forklifts, straddle trucks, and overhead cranes, while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in shipping operations.

The role requires experience with heavy equipment, forklift operation, and familiarity with IFS systems. This on-site position supports our shipping bay and material handling in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Basic math ability (add, subtract, decimals, fractions).
• 6 months experience operating heavy equipment in a professional environment.
• Proficiency in operating a straddle truck and shag truck.
• Knowledge of computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify material by part number, description, quantity and quality.
• Gather customer orders and stage by stop schedule on the consolidation card.
• Handle workload from assembly and finishing areas.
• Use the IFS system for transactions on finished goods.
• Use ship papers to identify products to be loaded.
• Stage and identify products using markers.
• Transport product to staging area with forklift/straddle truck.
• Operate overhead crane to move pole products between bolsters.
