Job summary

Quirch Foods in Hammond, IN is seeking a warehouse picker to accurately select product from pick tickets in a refrigerated/frozen environment, operate MHE, and help ensure on-time shipments.

You will follow FIFO, stack pallets, scan orders, and maintain product integrity while adhering to safety rules; experience with CK31/CK71 scanners is a plus; schedule Sun-Thu 5 PM to finish, with overtime and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse picking and palletizing.
• Ability to operate MHE including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Must read and comprehend English for labels and instructions.
• Experience with CK31/CK71 scanners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow directions to pick products from a pick ticket in a refrigerated/frozen warehouse.
• Operate forklift, electric pallet jack, and other equipment as needed.
• Accurately identify and pick cases from inventory locations.
• Pick, palletize, wrap and scan orders using FIFO.
• Place products on pallets in correct sequence for shipment.
• Maintain product integrity through proper handling and storage.
• Return undelivered or mis-picked product to proper locations.
• Transport products to shipping area within expected time.
