Job description

Serving three primary markets – passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off-highway equipment – Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.

Job Purpose

This position is located in Napoleon, Ohio. The facility is a Dana Final Assembly plant for the Ford Bronco and Ranger products.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Plan and direct activities and daily operations of Shipping/Receiving personnel.
2. Coordinate all outbound shipments with personnel.
3. Maintain excellent customer communication skills.
4. Manage all inbound shipments.
5. Oversee and correct cycle counts, discrepancies, and inventory accuracy.
6. Plan, implement, and improve material storage, layout, and min/max replenishment levels.
7. Oversee forklift upkeep and maintenance.
8. Provide direction and feedback for label printing, receipts, and ASN accuracy.
9. Coordinate and maintain accurate records for all outbound shipments of work-in-process materials.
10. Verify and resolve receiving issues using system reports and inbound paperwork.
11. Maintain ISO/TS certification in all aspects of the material handling flow process.
12. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

1. High school diploma required; college degree or some college preferred.
2. 3+ years of manufacturing experience; union experience preferred.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
4. Experience with MRP systems (SAP).
5. Leadership experience managing 4+ associates.
6. Safety-conscious, involved in, and completed manufacturing safety courses.
7. Quality-conscious, involved in leading corrective actions and improvements.
8. Excellent communication skills across all levels of the facility; experienced in leading meetings and task management.
9. Ability to plan, perform, improve, and complete tasks timely and accurately.
10. Ability to work all 3 shifts.
11. Experience with barcode systems and RF trackers.
12. Experience managing workers in a union environment.
13. Experience executing improvement plans and project work, including analysis, prioritization, development, tracking, and completion.
