Job description

Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Supervisor

Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains. Serving three primary markets - passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off-highway equipment - Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.

Job Purpose

This position is located in Napoleon, Ohio, at a Dana Final Assembly plant for the Ford Bronco and Ranger products.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Plan and direct activities and daily operations of Shipping/Receiving personnel.
  2. Coordinate all outbound shipments with personnel.
  3. Maintain excellent customer communication skills.
  4. Manage all inbound shipments.
  5. Oversee and correct cycle counts, discrepancies, and inventory accuracy.
  6. Plan, implement, and improve material storage, layout, and min/max replenishment levels.
  7. Oversee forklift upkeep and maintenance.
  8. Provide direction and feedback for label printing, receipts, and ASN accuracy.
  9. Coordinate and maintain accurate records for all outbound shipments of work-in-process materials.
  10. Verify and resolve any receiving issues using system-generated reports and inbound paperwork.
  11. Maintain ISO/TS certification in all aspects of the material handling flow process.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma required; college degree or some college preferred.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience; union experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with MRP systems (SAP).
  • Leadership experience managing 4+ associates.
  • Safety conscious; involved in and completed manufacturing safety courses.
  • Quality conscious; involved in leading corrective actions and improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to lead meetings and stay on task.
  • Ability to work all 3 shifts.
  • Experience with barcode systems and RF trackers.
  • Experience managing workers in a union environment.
  • Experience executing improvement plans and project work, including analysis, prioritization, development, tracking, and completion.
