Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to support a growing manufacturing facility in Decatur, AL. You will receive, verify, and process materials, prepare shipments, maintain inventory accuracy, and assist production with material movement.

The role requires experience in warehouse operations, familiarity with FedEx/UPS tools, and basic Excel/Word skills, all within a fully onsite Decatur facility.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience.
• Familiarity with FedEx Ship Manager and UPS WorldShip.
• Experience with inventory control and material tracking.
• Experience with cycle counts and physical inventory.
• Comfortable using handheld barcode scanners.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to read Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Strong attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials and verify quantities against packing slips and PO's.
• Process outgoing shipments with FedEx, UPS, and freight carriers.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
• Stock production materials and maintain inventory locations.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
• Scan materials using handheld barcode scanners and ERP systems.
• Track inventory transactions in ERP systems.
• Organize warehouse bays, shelves, and locations.
• Support production teams with material movement and replenishment.
