Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and perform related physical tasks.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Advanced organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Advanced math skills: percentages, discounts, and markups.

Responsibilities

• Prepare documents and shipping orders; pack, seal, and label materials for shipping using the most cost effective method.
• Examine contents and verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments.
• Record shipment data (weight, charges, space availability, damages) for reporting and records.
• Contact carrier representatives to arrange shipping and delivery of materials.
• Requisition and store shipping materials to maintain inventory of stock and track stock handling equipment usage.
• Collaborate with customers, subcontractors, engineers, designers, project managers, sales, shipping and receiving and panel shop to facilitate on-time, on-budget projects.
• Gather and analyze data to identify and solve complex problems; may recommend new techniques.
• Impact own team and related teams; contribute to process improvements.
