Job summary

California State University, Chico is seeking a Distribution Specialist-Mail (Shipping and Receiving Assistant I) to perform shipping and receiving tasks, campus mail handling, and related duties under general supervision.

The role requires two years of full-time shipping/receiving experience; preferred forklift certification, delivery experience, CSU Chico familiarity, and experience with inbound/outbound shipping software.

Qualifications

Requires two years of full-time equivalent experience in a shipping and receiving department, storeroom, or warehouse.
Prospective applicants who have not had the experience listed may be considered eligible based on other evidence of meeting the minimum qualifications.
Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills: forklift certification, delivery experience, CSU Chico experience, inbound and outbound shipping software.

Responsibilities

Handles receipt, storage, issuance, and delivery and pick-up of supplies, materials, equipment and campus mail, United States Mail and other printed and packaged materials for Chico State.
Provides backup in the absence of the Lead Distribution Specialist.
