Job summary

ADDMAN in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk/Coordinator to organize, verify, and distribute work, maintain records, and prepare merchandise for return to suppliers or delivery to customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of prior experience in relevant field.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (with or without reasonable accommodation).
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Verify all incoming shipments for correct packing slip, bill of lading information and visible damage; communicate discrepancies with suppliers, freight companies, and customers.
• Ensure merchandise is processed, labeled, priced, and forwarded to sales/storage areas.
• Arrange for returns to suppliers or delivery to customers; ensure shipping documents are complete.
• Prepare activity reports for Supervisor and maintain relevant files.
• Calculate estimated shipping/delivery costs and suggest alternatives.
• Control labor utilization to prevent excess hours, downtime and overtime; promote cost efficiency.
• Promote safety policies within department and support continuous improvement.
• Follow ISO processes and suggest improvements where applicable.
• Maintain communication with the direct lead and project team members.
• Maintain a safe and positive work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
