Job summary

J & J Staffing Resources is seeking a reliable Shipping & Receiving Clerk in New Jersey to support daily operations. The role involves coordinating shipments with UPS, FedEx, and freight forwarders, handling labels and documents, and maintaining ERP records.

The ideal candidate will have basic computer skills, experience in shipping/logistics, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. This hands-on position emphasizes organization and attention to detail in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics preferred.
Working knowledge of UPS, FedEx, freight carriers, and/or forwarding processes.
Basic computer skills including email and ERP system experience.
Strong organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments with UPS, FedEx, freight carriers, and forwarding companies.
Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, documentation & coordinate carrier pickups/deliveries.
Receive, inspect, organize and verify incoming materials and shipments.
Enter and maintain accurate shipping/receiving data in ERP systems.
Track shipments and communicate status to carriers, vendors, customers, and internal teams.
Maintain organized shipping/receiving area and assist with inventory/warehouse duties.
