Job summary

ProStaff Workforce Solutions is hiring a Shipping & Receiving Support Associate for a growing logistics and distribution company in South River, NJ. You will check drivers in and out, enter orders, inspect loads, and support daily shipping and receiving operations.

This contract-to-hire role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a pay rate of $23 per hour. Candidates should be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accurate

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or related experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic computer skills and ability to enter information accurately.
• Ability to communicate professionally with drivers and internal team members.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to inspect loads and identify discrepancies or issues.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Check drivers in and out and ensure all required shipping and receiving information is accurately documented.
• Enter orders and shipment information into the appropriate system.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing loads for accuracy, condition, and proper documentation.
• Take photographs of loads when necessary for documentation and recordkeeping.
• Verify shipment details and communicate any discrepancies or issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with daily shipping and receiving activities as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to shipments and deliveries.
• Communicate professionally with drivers, warehouse personnel, and other team members.
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain an organized work environment.
• Perform other shipping, receiving, and administrative duties as assigned.
