Job summary

MSI is seeking a Shipping and Receiving associate in Edison, NJ to verify orders on a tablet, pick items, palletize, shrink-wrap, and coordinate inbound/outbound freight. This role involves about 60% manual labor and up to 40% forklift use, with safety as a priority.

Responsibilities include ensuring accuracy of shipping documents, maintaining records, and supporting warehouse operations while following instructions under pressure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with a tablet or iPad.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Accurately select and place flooring product orders on pallets, then shrink-wrap each pallet to ensure secure handling of heavy materials.
• Read shipping orders to determine the quantity and type of transportation needed.
• Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents and maintain related data.
• Collect documentation for outbound freight and route it to the appropriate record-keeping unit.
• Pick orders for shipment and assemble various types of merchandise.
• Schedule inbound and outbound freight to align with warehouse operations.
• Contact carrier representatives to arrange and provide instructions for loading products.
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work environment.
• Keep an equipment checklist and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Perform additional duties as required or requested.
