Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk in Salem, VA to process product for shipment and ensure timely, accurate delivery to customers. You will handle shipments via UPS, truck lines, or overnight services and contribute to a smooth workflow.

The role requires basic computer skills, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and strong teamwork with clear communication. Overtime may be needed to maintain daily on-time delivery and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must be mobile to move between workstations.
• Team environment with good communication is essential.
• Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming product for shipment and ensure timely and accurate shipment to customers.
• Organize product and shipping area and stay familiar with shipping needs.
• Train team members and serve as liaison to Medeco team for shipping questions and issue resolution.
• Work overtime as needed to maintain daily on-time delivery.
• Maintain 5S and proactively improve safety in the shipping area.
• Perform additional duties to ensure smooth product flow and alignment with standards.
• Follow company policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
