Job summary

Sussex Wire is seeking a dependable Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to manage inbound and outbound shipments, materials, and scheduling in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will prepare bills of lading, coordinate carrier pickups, and maintain accurate records.

Ideal candidates communicate well, work independently, and collaborate with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain. Forklift operation and ERP experience are preferred, with a commitment to safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of manufacturing-related shipping/receiving experience preferred.
• Ability to read/write English and follow written instructions.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments of raw materials, finished goods, tooling, and supplies.
• Support shipment of finished goods and supplies, including packing and labeling.
• Provide precise counts, including for small parts.
• Schedule carrier pickups per purchase orders and shipping instructions.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound deliveries with secondary processors.
• Prepare bills of lading and shipping docs.
• Process shipments using UPS, FedEx, DHL systems.
• Enter data into ERP accurately from packing slips.
• Acknowledge receipt against purchase orders and processing databases.
• Move materials using carts, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
• Report defective materials to Quality and Supply Chain.
• Maintain shipping material inventory and requisition as needed.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe; follow safety policies.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Customer Service.
