Job summary

Openwork, a Houston-based employer with more than 50 years in business, seeks a Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate to support shipping/receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations.

You will handle daily shipping/receiving, inspect incoming shipments, perform cycle counts, maintain inventory records, and use Microsoft Excel and Great Plains. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire role with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule ($18/hour, weekly pay).

Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse shipping and receiving experience required.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily shipping and receiving operations.
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for damage, shortages, or defects.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and organized stock locations.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with replenishment.
• Research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Update inventory information using Microsoft Excel and Great Plains.
• Maintain labels, inventory locations, and warehouse areas.
• Work with warehouse team members and vendors to support efficient operations.
