Job summary

Elevate Human Capital is seeking a Warehouse Receiving Associate for a client in the east Houston, TX area. The role involves receiving and processing incoming stock, organizing and retrieving stock, and ensuring accurate inventory records.

The position requires 1–2 years of warehouse experience in shipping/receiving, a strong work ethic, and the ability to pass a background check and drug test. First shift duties and safety compliance are emphasized in daily operations.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of warehouse experience in shipping/receiving.
• Strong work ethic; able to work self-directed and as a flexible team player.
• Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.
• Experience operating warehouse machinery (sit-down lift, cherry picker, reach truck, etc.).
• Qualified applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assist warehouse unloading trucks and checking in and validating merchandise prior to stocking.
• Sort and place material or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
• Wear the proper safety equipment at all times.
• Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager.
• Perform systematically any inventory stocking moves to ensure system accuracy.
