Qualifications

• 1-2 years of hands-on shipping and receiving experience.
• Forklift experience a plus; training provided.

• Experience with measurement devices a must.
• Crating or carpentry experience a plus; training provided.
• UPS Worldship experience a plus.
• Export paperwork experience a plus.
• Understanding SDS/HazCom shipping regulations.

Responsibilities

• Verify outgoing shipments and keep records against bills of lading and invoices.
• Determine best shipping method to meet schedules.
• Affix labels and ensure correct shipping information.
• Prepare containers and pack items securely.
• Move shipments using forklift or hand-truck.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials.
• Review notices and prioritize shipments.
• Inspect shipments for accuracy and condition.
• Perform clerical data entry and filing.
• Deliver incoming goods to the appropriate departments.
