The role requires 1–2 years of shipping/receiving experience, with forklift and overhead crane training offered. Familiarity with measurement devices and SDS/Hazcom regulations is required; related crating experience is a plus.

Qualifications

1–2 years hands-on shipping/receiving experience.
Forklift experience a plus; will train.
Overhead crane experience a plus; will train.
Experience with measurement devices required.
Crating or carpentry experience a plus; will train.
UPS Worldship experience a plus.
Export paperwork experience a plus.
Understanding SDS/Hazcom shipping regulations.

Responsibilities

Verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
Determines method of shipment and affixes shipping labels.
Assembles containers and inserts items into them; seals with tape.
Posts weights and shipping charges; ensures accuracy and timeliness.
Maintains inventory of shipping materials; operates lift equipment.
