Job summary

The role requires hands-on experience in shipping/receiving and a willingness to train on lifting equipment and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include selecting shipment methods, labeling, packing, maintaining shipping materials, and ensuring accuracy of paperwork and timeliness of deliveries.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of hands-on shipping and receiving experience.
• Forklift experience a plus, will train.
• Overhead crane experience a plus, will train.
• Experience with measurement devices a must.
• Crating or carpentry experience a plus, will train.
• UPS Worldship experience a plus.
• Export paperwork experience a plus.
• Understanding SDS/Hazcom shipping regulations.

Responsibilities

• Verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
• Determines the method of shipment and affixes shipping labels on cartons.
• Assembles containers and inserts items into containers.
• Stamps or glues shipping information onto crates or containers.
• Posts weights and shipping charges and affixes postage.
• Inspects shipments for conformance to specifications.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Delivers incoming goods to respective departments.
