Job summary

Depatie Fluid Power Company in Benicia, CA is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate to keep materials moving from receiving through staging to shipment. You will work with manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, and project teams to ensure materials are available when needed and that shipments reach customers safely and on schedule.

This hands-on role requires organization, accuracy, and the ability to operate forklifts and material handling equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in shipping/receiving, warehousing, inventory, or manufacturing.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow BOMs, pick lists, work orders, packing slips, and shipping docs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, carriers, and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and prioritize multiple material/shipping needs.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment after training.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials and goods.
• Move materials to proper stock or staging areas and maintain organized inventory.
• Prepare finished equipment for shipment, label accurately, and coordinate with carriers.
• Track outbound shipments, verify documentation, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping/receiving area.
