Job summary

Linamar Corporation is seeking a Clerk – Shipping and Receiving to manage shipment packaging, labeling, and documentation. You will verify received goods, enter data into inventory systems, and coordinate with carriers to ensure timely deliveries.

The role requires at least one year in shipping/receiving, strong attention to detail, and basic computer skills. A high school diploma is required, with logistics training considered an asset.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in shipping and receiving, or a similar role.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft and shipping/Receiving software.
• Ability to move packages and materials as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and package outgoing shipping according to company and customer specifications.
• Generate and affix shipping labels, packing lists and other required documents
• Ensure that all shipments are accurately documented, properly labeled, and meeting shipping requirements
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality
• Verify that received goods match purchase orders and packing slips, noting any discrepancies
• Document and enter received items into the inventory management system
• Maintain organized and accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities
• Communicate with carriers, suppliers and vendors to arrange shipments and resolve issues
• Ensure all safety protocols and guidelines when handling shipments and materials
