Responsibilities

• Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments.

• Determine shipment method and route using rates and procedures.
• Affix shipping labels and identify information on cartons.
• Assemble or select containers and insert items with padding.
• Inspect incoming shipments for damages and shortages and coordinate remedies.
• Route items to departments and maintain shipping materials inventory.
• Operate material handling equipment as needed.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and shippers.
• Meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
