Job summary

DutchWare Gear in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, seeks a dependable Shipping & Receiving Manager to oversee daily movement of products, materials, and inventory. This working-manager role requires hands-on participation in picking, packing, receiving, and organizing inventory, while directing a team and coordinating shipments with carriers.

The candidate will ensure on-time order fulfillment and maintain orderly shipping/receiving areas.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in warehouse management or a similar field.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work across all departments and communicate clearly.
• High attention to detail; accurate picking, packing, and inventory handling.
• Comfortable with computers, shipping software, inventory systems, and spreadsheets.
• Ability to prioritize multiple orders and meet deadlines.
• Hands-on leader who can train and supervise a team.
• Willingness to lift and move boxes and inventory as required.
• Experience with UPS, FedEx, USPS, freight, or similar shipping systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping operations for retail, wholesale, manufacturing, and other orders.
• Ensure orders are picked, packed, labeled, and shipped accurately and on time.
• Coordinate shipments with USPS, UPS, FedEx, and freight carriers.
• Receive incoming materials and verify against orders and packing slips.
• Maintain organized receiving, staging, and inventory areas; perform cycle counts.
• Train and supervise shipping/receiving staff; monitor productivity and accuracy.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Production, Sales, and Management to resolve issues.
• Maintain supplies and communicate purchasing needs before stock runs out.
