Job summary

Triple-S Steel is seeking a motivated Material Handler to move steel, follow safety guidelines, and meet daily productivity goals. You will operate forklifts and cranes, perform load preparation, and maintain equipment while coordinating with multiple departments to ensure on-time, safe deliveries.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to read work orders, and solid math skills. You will join a team focused on reliability and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read work orders or instructions to determine material needs.
• Ability to meet or exceed productivity levels.
• Ability to plan and organize work independently or in a team.
• Knowledge of product and inventory control techniques.
• Maintain inter-department communications related to routing, safety, and customer relations.
• Demonstrate basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Customer relations skills may be required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety methods and report hazardous conditions.
• Move steel to/from storage and production areas using hand tools, forklift, or crane.
• Attach slings and guide loads; secure material during loading and unloading.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and navigate multiple stops and routes daily.
• Apply proper bundling techniques and optimize load capacity.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment safely.
• Identify safety issues and report promptly.
• Work indoors/outdoors in varied weather; adapt to site conditions.
• Maintain spatial orientation around moving objects.
• Attend required meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
