Job summary

Cannonball Recruiting LLC is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator for a steel fabrication shop. You will schedule shipments, check materials, prepare shipping documents, and coordinate with shop staff, vendors, and drivers to keep deliveries accurate and on time.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in shipping/receiving or related roles, basic computer skills, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, construction, or a similar role.
• Experience with shipping paperwork such as bills of lading, packing slips, and purchase orders.
• Basic computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, and data entry.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Safety-minded and dependable.
• Experience in steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing is a plus.
• Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus (training provided if needed).

Responsibilities

• Schedule outgoing shipments and incoming deliveries.
• Make sure materials are ready before they are shipped.
• Prepare shipping paperwork and delivery documents.
• Receive and inspect incoming materials.
• Report damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments.
• Enter shipping and receiving information into the system.
• Help coordinate safe loading and unloading of trucks.
• Keep the shipping and storage areas clean and organized.
• Assist with inventory counts and material organization.
• Communicate with drivers, vendors, and the shop team to keep deliveries on schedule.
