Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Suites.
• English reading, writing, and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Process all customer orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Generate paperwork and information required for customer orders, checking special requests and shipping paperwork.
• Coordinate special and last-minute shipping requests with the operations department and expedite orders as necessary.
• Prioritize customer orders according to scheduled pickup times or pier cutoff.
• Provide shipping and tracking information.
• Respond to customer inquiries concerning receipts, shipments, and inventory counts.
• Report customer feedback and signs of dissatisfaction to management.
• Oversee order paperwork and maintain corresponding files.
• Maintain a current and accurate DSV Work Instructions Manual.
• Answer phone calls and operate office machines and computers.
• Enter and verify data concerning customer orders, shipments, receipts, and adjustments.
• Ensure accuracy of receiving and shipping documents.
• Maintain data and records related to shipping and receiving activities.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies.
• Collect inbound freight documentation and route it to the proper record-keeping unit.
• Comply with all DSV Work Instructions.
• Perform other clerical duties and backup support as assigned.
• Work mandatory or voluntary overtime as dictated by business needs.
