Job summary

Jobtailor in Texas is seeking a detail-oriented Customer Order Processor to accurately enter and process orders for production, interpret blueprints, and communicate with customers about discrepancies and delays.

You will handle a range of orders from basic stock to highly configured configurations, with a focus on timely resolution of inquiries and a high level of customer service. This role requires strong math, reading diagrams, and proficient computer skills in Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency with Math; basic Geometry and Algebra skills would help.
• Previous exposure to reading schematics, blueprints, renderings, or architectural drawings is highly desirable.
• Excellent computer skills preferred, including Word, Excel, Internet, and email.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and follow-up skills; sense of urgency required.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience/exposure to the Door, Building Materials, and/or Hollow Metal industries is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter and process customer orders into the system for production/manufacturing.
• Interpret product specifications and research drawings.
• Process customer orders, from basic stock to highly configured orders, with high accuracy.
• Assist customers with technical inquiries and problems while maintaining metrics and KPIs.
• Communicate with customers about discrepancies, order conflicts, and shipping delays.
• Follow up to ensure customer issues are resolved promptly and thoroughly.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements that positively impact the customer experience.
• Perform other duties as required.
