Responsibilities

• Manage daily scheduling of shipments, branch transfers, and receiving.
• Prepare accurate documentation for internal and external departments.
• Provide support to management as needed.
• Offer guidance and routine direction to all shipping employees and communicate efficiently with other personnel and departments.
• Act as backup for shipping supervisor in their absence.
• Coordinate daily staging or loading of trucks to meet shipping goals.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and timely.
• Schedule and coordinate on-the-job training for new employees, providing orientation and information on correct procedures and techniques.
• Schedule all appointments for prepaid and customer leads, working directly with carriers and drivers.
• Follow all safety and security policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all Food Safety policies, procedures, and regulatory criteria including the current SQF code, Good Manufacturing Practices, and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and associated Preventive Controls.
