Job Summary

Join our Danbury, CT team as a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator. This role performs manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties to handle all incoming and outgoing packages/materials. Verifies products received against purchase orders and packing slips. Reviews orders for accuracy, packs orders, and routes them to the appropriate destination. Logs and tracks shipments using a computer tracking system. Utilizes knowledge of shipping practices, procedures, and record-keeping requirements. Maintains quality systems compliance.

What You Will Do

• Perform manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse
• Use computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying, and reporting
• Follow shipping practices, procedures, transportation routing, schedules, and requirements
• Receive incoming materials or prepare materials for shipment. Unpack, wrap, or prepare items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc.
• Verify quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to identifications; log receipt of items; process freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; report shipped materials and bills of lading; post weights and shipping charges; route merchandise
• Identify material requirements for production based on engineering and production specifications and schedules. Coordinate and process material movement and shipments between warehouse and production areas.
• Store finished goods received from the factory, fill orders, ship, and deliver merchandise to sales warehouse, wholesale or retail outlets, and customers
• Receive materials from suppliers, load/unload trucks, and deliver to appropriate departments/locations
• Perform miscellaneous tasks related to shipments and incoming materials (e.g., copy making, record filing, inventory labeling)
• Assist in storage and organization of materials

Education & Experience Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent; must be prepared to provide proof of diploma at hire
• 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse environment
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and willing to assist in all warehouse areas
