Shipping & Receiving Assistant

The Musco Specialty Manufacturing Team is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Assistant to support our production management team from our Oskaloosa office. If you are solutions-focused, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator, we look forward to hearing from you. Details of the role are below.

Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge of Profile 2, Vantage, and Scoreboard systems; data entry and report generation
  • Communicate with customers to finalize shipping schedules and special instructions
  • Arrange transportation for all backhauls
  • Enter information into Profile 2 system
  • Create factory invoices for parts shipment on short ship nonconformance, correlating order and project numbers in Scoreboard
  • Approve freight invoices and prepare shipment PAV reports
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Push or pull pallets weighing over 250 lbs
  • Handle loads of over 100 lbs on a dolly or cart; stack items of 10-25 lbs on pallets; unload delivery trucks with items ranging from 5 lbs to over 100 lbs
  • Drive a 16' flatbed truck, assist in loading/unloading, and properly secure loads
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Forklift certification and license maintenance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience with office equipment
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Enjoy working with diverse groups
