Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, work instructions, packing slips, bills of lading, and inventory records.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and inventory transactions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, and lift throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately stage, inspect, label, and load finished products for shipment to designated storage locations, customers, or carriers.
  • Process parcel shipments using FedEx, UPS, and other designated carriers, ensuring accurate documentation and on-time delivery.
  • Receive, identify, verify, and audit incoming materials, components, and products to ensure accuracy and compliance with company requirements.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments by checking quantities, weights, measurements, and identifying information against bills of lading, packing slips, purchase orders, invoices, and other shipping documents.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of part numbers, inventory locations, and product applications.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment to transport products and materials throughout the facility.
  • Unpack, inspect, and route incoming shipments; document and report damaged goods, shortages, or discrepancies and coordinate resolution with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments.
  • Create shipments, shipping documentation, labels, and reports using the ERP system (IFS), while performing required scanning and inventory transactions.
  • Maintain adequate inventories of shipping supplies, packaging materials, and related warehouse consumables.
  • Follow standard work procedures, work instructions, and training requirements to ensure operational consistency and quality.

Position Title: Shipping and Receiving Wage: $21.75/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm

  • Support cross-functional operations and assist in other departments as workload demands require
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
  • Complete all required shipping, receiving, inventory, and quality documentation accurately and timely
  • Submit maintenance requests and report equipment or facility issues when identified
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper handling, transaction processing, cycle count support, and adherence to inventory control procedures
  • Adhere to scheduled work hours and overtime requirements as needed to meet business demands
  • Consistently demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, accountability, and a commitment to workplace safety
Requirements for Shipping and Receiving:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environments preferred
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
  • Experience using ERP systems, warehouse management systems, and shipping software is preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, work instructions, packing slips, bills of lading, and inventory records
